Back in California

So … here I am. Back in Southern Cali, after a day of driving easy, a day of hard driving (or riding in my case on both counts), and two days running around like a chicken with my head cut off, I actually have a chance to update.

And yet again, while I have a notebook with me, since I don't go anywhere without one, it's the wrong one, so, sorry, aadler, I can't send your update on Queen, but I DO have more, I promise!!

Just wanted to post, since I don't know when my next chance will be.

Okay, first: when you say you have the wrong notebook with you, do you mean with you at the moment you’re sitting at the terminal, or do you mean you left the right one at home when you returned from your holiday?

Second: now that you’re back, have you seen “Beg to Differ”? and if so, what do you think of it?

Yes, I've read it. Was thoroughly intrigued, had the moment of "What the HELL?" when the name William Randy Giles was said... very interesting, thoroughly makes sense, and I'm very grateful that the look has been explained, and not just as a "the writer's wanted to make everybody laugh" kind of way. They did, they succeeded, and then they annoyed everybody and people stopped to think about it.

Notebook: I have it, not with me in front of the terminal. I have it about two feet away from me right now, but I have to pack up this computer that I'm borrowing and get it out to the van within the next ten minutes.
