In case we find ourselves starting to believe all the anti-American sentiment and negativity, we should remember England's Prime Minister Tony Blair's words during a recent interview. When asked by one of his Parliament members why he believes so much in America , he said:
"A simple way to take measure of a country is to look at how many want in... And how many want out."
Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you:
1. Jesus Christ
2. The American G. I.
One died for your soul, the other for your freedom.
Remind other people, because most people forget about both.
I thought this was pretty cool.

Date: 2006-11-08 10:53 pm (UTC)At the same time, I'd like to think that most of the people who'd read this because of me are semi-intelligent, and can work things out on their own. One of the grand things about being mediocre: very few people read what you have to say. And the ones that do? Have their own brains.
Wow, that came out really bitchy. I'm sorry, that's not the way it was meant. I'm more than a little tired; I just haven't been able to sleep in almost 24 hours, and as a result, my foot isn't clogging my mouth like usual. Maybe it should be.
Again, you have a good point about the jingles thing. In fact, if my brain was capable of walking in a straight line, I'd probably agree with you. Right now, it's really hard for me to make any decision beyond "Don't scratch". Or have anything resembling a thought process.
No, that's a lie. I'm able to type, ergo, I have a thought process. I do agree with at least part of what you've said. Not guaranteeing all of it, because I'm still thinking through it. But at least part.
