Fallen in love
Feb. 10th, 2011 05:48 pmYes. I’ve done it again. I have fallen totally, completely, irrevocably in love.
With Veronica Mars. I’ve read all the transcripts of each episode, so I knew the storyline. But my GOSH, is that show brilliant.
I’ve been down in a place by myself, and spent a few days throwing up. Didn’t have anything to do, couldn’t go anywhere since I was sick, didn’t have enough energy to clean the place up. Don’t have internet, don’t have cable.
I do, however, have Season One and Season Two of Veronica Mars.
And fell in love. Started Monday at two in the morning. Finished the last episode of Season Two at six on Wednesday morning. Slept for two hours. Woke up. Cleaned the house a bit, ran out of energy (because it’s really draggy right now). And what did I do? I put Episode One back in and started rewatching the entire show all over again.
I will always be a Buffy fan. Buffy is my first love, really. It was the first show to grab me the way it did.
But I have never fallen in love with a show the way I have with this. Not to where I watch the entire show (or, well, what I have) in two days (44 episodes, baby), take at most a four-hour break, and then start re-watching the 44 episodes all over again.
I do feel really smart when I look at people and go, “Wait a second …” I have no internet, so I texted a friend who does, and I’m like, “Hey. Favor about Veronica Mars again. Was Jonathan Taylor Thomas ever on Veronica Mars, in the episode with the “Kill ’Em All” website, bomb scares, etc? Episode … 18, since I’m now on the second episode of disc five? Ben?” Text back of, “Yes, he was indeed.” My friends laugh at me, and are also kinda in awe at my ability to spot people and figure out who they are when I haven’t seen them for years.
Yeah. Really loving this show.
… And wanting to write fanfic. Go me!
In other news, I’ve been writing an original fiction story. I’m actually really happy — I’m looking at my style now, versus my style of two years ago, and I’ve really grown a lot.
