Leaving on a jet plane

“I’m leaving, on a jet plane. Don’t know when I’ll be back again.” I’m leaving tomorrow on said jet plane. But I do know when I’ll be back again … in May. It’s sad … much as I love my family and my friends, at this point, I’m used to not seeing people for months on end … so the fact that I’m not going to see my family for a while isn’t what gets me … it’s the fact that I’m going to go nine months without Mexican food.
I’m used to not seeing my family. I’m used to being on my own with a very small group of people that stick around me on a day-to-day basis. That’s not the problem. Yes, I’ll miss my family. Yes, I wish I’d get to see them between now and then … but I’m used to it. It’s a fact of life that has been a part of my life for over two years.
I’m nervous.
