sroniI found that someone did a meme thing where you post 3 lines from each of your current works in progress. (And can I just say please explain what the meme was when you post? Four, five people, all I saw was “Ganked from so and so, post comment now.” I finally figured out what it was by tracing it back far enough. It’s annoying, it’s sloppy, and it’s lazy. I’m learning how to stand up for myself, and not be so passive.)
WiP1:
She knew the house well; it was the house she had grown up in. The day of her father’s funeral, she and John had doused it in gasoline, lit a match, and never looked back. Until now. (It’s a really creepy house that I based off a house one of my friends used to live in, and they told me about it. And for the record, John has been named in this story for the last three months.)
WiP2:
She managed to look through him instead of at him, even though he was inches away. Neat trick. Wouldn’t work.
WiP3:
“I’m not able to get at it, it’s like there’s a wall blocking it.” “Well, unblock it. You five are the most powerful elemental mages ever. Knock down that wall.” “It doesn’t work that way, you idiot. We could kill ourselves.”
WiP4:
She looked at him and tried to quirk a little half-grin before her face crumpled in on itself, and she collapsed, sobbing, in his arms. He let her cry until her tears were gone. She looked up at him, and said, “I look like a tomato with hair, don’t I?” “Yes, but a very cute tomato.” “Doesn’t make it better.”
That’s all for now, even though I have more WiPs.
