So, today was my day off, and I read four books. Man Who Cast Two Shadows, Carol O'Connell. Awesome author. Always has some kind of whammy at the end. "Wouldst thou slay a child for me?" A composite of short stories about young warriors, all fiction, all decent. Skeleton Key, third in a series about a fourteen year old British spy. Entertaining at least. Eragon. And, just in case you can't tell if I liked it or not, I've started on Eldest. I have to finish it tonight, since I'm leaving this host home tomorrow, and I can't take it with me.
And I've gotten some writing done, yay. My goal really si to have this story finished before I end tour.

That was what I forgot to do yesterday! I knew there was something on my list, but I keep my list in my head, so if I drop a line there’s no recovery. Then I see your post and it comes right back to me: “Check Amazon to see if Carol O’Connell has put out any new Mallory books.”

Thanks.

Nice icon. Can’t quite place the fandom, though.

Most recent book was "Winter House". Read it a couple months ago, damn good.

Damn, that's some fast reading. :)

Of all those I've only read Eragon. I liked it, though I found it a bit derivative. Then again so much has been written in the fantasy field, that it's hard to be truly original.

What can I say, it's a gift. The girl that I was staying with a couple days ago timed me. It was fourty=five seconds between page turns. I've tried to explain that the reason I learn lines so quickly (I've been described as sick and wrong, and a genius like none other, by two different people) is because my brain absorbs information of the written variety insanely fast. It's a gift, and one I'm using.

And the reason I don't recall details, brother dear, is because YOU REMEMBER WHOLE PAGES OF DIALOGUE THAT YOU'VE READ ONCE TWO YEARS AGO! Now THAT'S sick and wrong.

Yeah, she can go through books like nobody's business. She's a regular read demon. (like speed demon, only it's not so funny when I have to explain it is it?)

Anyway, Yeah I'm right there with jgracio on the fact that Eragon is the only book on that list that I've read. Oh wait, I read Eldest, but sroni2004 hasn't actually read it yet so I don't know if that counts or not.

At any rate, I am extremely jealous of her ability to read in hours, what it takes us mere mortals to read in days. (Although she doesn't seem to have a propensity for recalling some of the more minor details afterward, Ah well, still wish I could do it).

One more thing, I do my best to comment on your journal every time you update. Would it kill you to comment on mine every now and then. I LITERALLY have 1 comment from you. It would be nice to have a little reminder that somone actually READS my page. (Not mad, just jealous, cause people comment on yours.)
