Aadler decided to add on a question to the end of the 30 Day Meme, so I’ll answer that, and then make my own question- assuming, of course, that I can think of one. :D

Day 31: Which fanfic authors and/or stories have had the most influence on your writing?

No question about this. The single person to influence my writing the most is [livejournal.com profile] aadler. People that definitely should be included in this: M. Scott Eiland ([livejournal.com profile] eilandesq), [livejournal.com profile] bellatemple, [livejournal.com profile] ozma914, [livejournal.com profile] m_mcgregor, [livejournal.com profile] yahtzee63, Mediancat, [livejournal.com profile] honorh, [livejournal.com profile] liz_marcs, [livejournal.com profile] bastardsnow, and — though I don’t believe this has appeared in my writing — yet, [livejournal.com profile] deird1. I’m sure there are others, too, but those are the biggies. You have to keep in mind, I’ve been reading Buffy fanfiction since I was about thirteen or so. I’ve been reading Eiland, Mediancat, [livejournal.com profile] honorh, and [livejournal.com profile] yahtzee63 for over or darn near a decade. [livejournal.com profile] aadler is my father — I literally grew up reading his stories. I am not using that “literally” for emphasis, I mean that I actually grew up reading what he’s written. So, that is going to have a profound effect on my writing. [livejournal.com profile] bellatemple, [livejournal.com profile] ozma914, [livejournal.com profile] m_mcgregor, [livejournal.com profile] bastardsnow, and [livejournal.com profile] liz_marcs are all “recent” additions to my reading list — which means that I’ve been reading them for seven or eight years instead of ten-plus.

The reason I’ve included [livejournal.com profile] deird1 in this list, even though she’s a really recent addition (a little over a year now), and even though I don’t think she’s actually effected something I’ve written yet, she did an essay on Fred that really put Fred in a new light for me, so when I use Fred again (and it will happen), I’ll be writing with her wonderful essay in mind.

I suppose I should create a question now.

Day 32: Are there any stories you want to write that you’re afraid to tackle? If so, what and why?
