Seven months. That's how long I have to plan a wedding. The fun part is, we're still not officially engaged. Yeah, that's fun. Makes me giggle.

Actually, it's not even a full seven months. We're planning the wedding for the first weekend of August. But we have quite a few details planned: when, where, how to handle the reception (potluck instead of catered :D), some of the music. Actually, one of the things we're doing is, with the invitations, we're sending the invitation, the save the date (magnet), a label for the potluck for people to label the dish and the ingredients (for allergies and such), the RSVP, and to send back with the RSVP a music request paper and a slip of paper for drink requests. No guarantees that every request will be available (although a lot of the music will be played at the reception), and then on the RSVP itself, a place to put your email address if you want wedding photos. The centerpieces at the reception will be wine bottles (cleaned, of course) with candles in them (cheap, easy, and I'll keep the bottles afterwards because I like them), and for the "guest book", we'll actually be framing an engagement photo or two, and the guests will be signing the mat (matte? whatever) around the photo. Then we'll frame them and hang them on the wall. If further down the line, we decide to take the pics down, then I'll cut the mat up, and put the pieces in the wedding album. I've designed the dress, and started working on it today. He and I will be putting the guest list together tomorrow. I've picked out the bridesmaid's dresses (and my bridesmaids and maids of honor). The two MoH's will be wearing a red flapper style dress, and my one-or-two bridesmaids will be wearing the same dress in blue. Squirreltail's decided on his best man and groomsman, and we'll handle the balancing act by having the best man escort the two MoH's down the aisle, and the groomsman escorting the single- or the two- bridesmaids down. (The reason for the ambiguous answer on how many bridesmaids is because I'm unsure if one of my bridesmaids will actually be able to get up here or not. So if she can, she has a spot in the wedding, if not, no big.) I have two MoH's because these two girls are amazing and I love them dearly, and because between the three of us, we'll make sure everything gets done that needs to get done- and because they're some of the few people that can tell when I need to take a break and relax, and some of the even fewer people that can tell me that I need to take a break and relax. These three girls (MoH's and the first bridesmaid, the one that's guaranteed) are so amazing that between the five of us (them, me, and Squirreltail) we've squared SO MANY details away.

I'm happy. I really truly am.
