Nov. 5th, 2006 10:41 pmOkay, I've been pretty non-posty for a while. For anyone's who's missed it, I'm in Hong Kong, which is a gorgeous city, for those of you who have never been here before. I highly recomend coming to see it.
I don't really know what to say. I miss people, but it's getting better. I realized recently that if I were in the States, my mission would be more than half over. I'd have a little more than a month left. But it feels like I just started, and like I haven't even reached the quarter mark. I'm having an awesome time; my unit is the best ever and I'm sure anyone who's not on this unit is insanely jealous. I'd be, if I weren't on it. *grins*
I've done really well with writing. No, I didn't sign up for NaNoWriMo. I really thought about it, and I really want to, but I can't make that my priority right now. My priority has to be ministry, and doing what God's called me to do. And while I love writing, and would love to write 50,000 words in a month, I can't make sure that that happens right now. So, when I leave CP, the first November? I'm totally doing it.
I'm still tired from last night. We walked a really far ways, up a mountain. Dodged cars going round the turns where there was no sidewalk. We'd run, see some headlights, climb onto the rock wall, and think skinny, wait for them to pass, and run some more. All I can say is, I'm so glad I have a smaller backpack now, or that would have killed me. We climbed up some stars that look like they haven't been used in forever, only to find the top blocked by a fence... so I climbed over the fence. Once I did, the rest of my unit did, too.
