Letters

Okay, so I totally forgot that I agreed to do this... I said yes at a time that I was significantly bored, which I’m not anymore.

Here’s how it works. I recieved the letter G. So I have to write ten sentences starting with that letter. You want to join in, ask me for a letter. I give it to you, and we start the chain all over again.

So. G.
  1. Gladness. Do I really have to explain what gladness means to me? I think that’s pretty self-explanatory.

  2. Grins. Pretty much under the same category as gladness. I’m a pretty smiley person, and I wear an ear-to-ear grin a lot of the time, because I’m basically happy … or so it seems.

  3. Glen. First of all, I think that’s a cool name. Second of all, I always wanted to live in a glen. I think it sounds very green. Which brings m to my next word, since that’s what I’m really doing: words, not sentences.

  4. Green. I like the color green. I don’t actually have a favorite color; it changes on a daily basis. But more often than not, it’s either blue or green.

  5. Groin. I think it’s a funny word. Seriously. It feels weird to say.

  6. Gah. It can mean a lot of things, and I’m pretty sure that I made it up … if I didn’t, I sure personalized it. With me, it usually means I’m in pain. At the very least, I’m tired. It can mean that I’m in a bad mood.

  7. Glum. Glumness sucks … it makes me think of that purple critter on CandyLand … the only game I ever cheated at … okay, so it’s not … but it makes me feel better to say.

  8. Good. Again, pretty self-explanatory. But things can go beyond good, and when they do, they become —

  9. Great. I’m pretty sure I just typed my reasoning on the previous one.

  10. And last but not least, we have … oh, crud. I forgot it … ummm … Greetings from Yang Mei … it’s right outside Taipei. I don’t think that was what I originally planned, but it’ll do.

I got to make green tea a few nights ago. I know, I know, you’re probably thinking, how hard can that be? You boil water, you pour it into a cup, you put the tea bag in, and you add honey. Well, you’d be wrong. I got to grind it and everything. It was a lot of fun.

Lessons I’ve learned in the last week: Don’t drink wine like water. It’s not fun. I spent the next three hours trying to hide the fact that I was slightly drunk. (Yes, it’s legal for me to drink here. The legal age in Taiwan is 18.) Along the same lines, I really like Chinese beer. It’s good stuff … I shouldn’t drink more than one glass.
