I’m a firm adherent to the original concept of Spike as the abusive boyfriend that Buffy had to be horribly broken to pair with; I was never — and am still not — remotely in the camp of these two as OTP. Keeping that in mind, you did a fine job here. Your use of language continues to advance (and may I say, it makes your father more than a bit uncomfortable to see how well you express the rich sensuality of the scene), and the comparisons and analogies you draw, the analysis of character, the depiction of where these two people are at this point, strike no false or clumsy notes anywhere.
