This is a great re-imagining of the original story that focuses on the genuine areas of deep regret that post-"Chosen" Xander would still have, rather than having to deal with *all* the problems he's had over the years (which, as Kennedy pointedly suggests, would probably take nearly forever at that point). Some might ask why Willow didn't get a turn--the obvious answer (aside from the unpleasantness of a Kennedy/Willow sword fight) is that once you prevent your friend from blowing up the world by getting zapped repeatedly with her magic and telling a story about a yellow crayon, all debts have been settled. :-)

Nice choice in picking Kennedy for the champion, and Joyce for the judge--and it was a nice touch to point out that Tara had moved from "someone he had no issues with" to "someone he had loved and still loved" in the years between the original story's time frame and this story's present.

The original was designed as the first in a series, of course, so your changes made a lot of sense in constructing the Remix story as its own tale (the Drusilla appearance in the original only really made sense as a story hook for later).
