I'm a sicky sicky sick sick sick person

Went into work last night for five and a half hours. Yay! Picked up some extra shifts for the weekend- mainly the five and a half hours last night, and eight hours for today, plus an extra hour tomorrow, because I'm only allowed to work ten hours in a day. >_<

Made tons of sales last night, and was insanely happy.

Got home and realized that I really did feel like uber levels of crap. Took my temperature- and I had a temp over 100 degrees. Now, you have to keep in mind that my normal temperature is 97.2- a full degree and then some below the "normal" body temp. So by the time I get up at the "normal" temp, I'm already running a low grade fever. When I'm in the 99's, it's already a fairly high fever for me.

I'm in the hundreds. And I think (no guarantees, though) that the last time I had a fever this high was when I was dealing with the chicken pox.

So, I have the angel and the demon on my shoulder- and both keep switching positions on whether or not I should call in sick for today.

On the one hand, it's EIGHT HOURS that I'll get paid $8.50 an hour for- plus $1.50 for every sale I make. That's good money. On the other hand, I've been dealing with this stupid flu for two weeks because I simply haven't given myself the time to get sick and deal with it and get over it. If I go into work, and push through today, and push through tomorrow, and wind up getting seriously sick as a result of pushing through, and wind up in the hospital because I wasn't good and let myself get way to sick, I have no health insurance, so I would be officially SCREWED.

Rarf.

At the moment, I feel all weak and wobbly. Not so much with the congested- still coughing a lot. Mostly, it's the flu aches. Intensified by Fibro aches. But I'm still coughing a lot, and while it feels like nose drainage instead of chest stuff, I don't have any nose drainage going on.

I just don't know.

On the one hand, it's money.

On the other hand, it's not worth developing pneumonia over it.

In other news, I really have written drabbles for the last few unposted drabble days.

I'm currently at almost 3,000 words in drabble form.

Same with me -- my normal temp is around 97.5. I would suggest you stay home and get better -- although I can understand your reluctance.
