Remix possibility

[livejournal.com profile] aadler and I are discussing the prospect of putting together a limited round-robin remix: anything from three people (of whom we would be two) to maybe a dozen, each one remixing the preceding. Would anyone on our mutual friends lists be interested in that?

Both of us are primarily Buffy writers, but both us have written in other fandoms and are willing to try something new. Both of us are primarily gen writers ([livejournal.com profile] aadler more than me, I do a bit more ’ship-writing than he does), and committed non-slashers.

The idea is to follow the same basic process as RemixRedux: one month to produce a story, a preferable 1,000-word minimum, overall publication/reveal taking place only after all stories have been completed. The only difference would be that there wouldn’t be any mystery about who had remixed which story. (Although, if enough people made the request, we might be willing to work in that part as well.)

If interested, post the following information, and I/we will immediately get back to you.

Name:
LJ home page (name & URL):
Story site (name & URL):
Primary fandom:
Preferred fandom (to write):
Safe story/stories (no more than three):
Stories that have already been remixed:
aadler: (Skyline)

We’re hoping to get in one more person (since you and I and [livejournal.com profile] sroni have several remixes in common), but will get back to you soon regardless. Thanks.

Will do. I've been trying to kickstart my muse lately--the latest odd idea to drift through my head is a cutscene from "Rocky Balboa," of all things--and Remixes are always good for that.
